Peter Austin expresses immense appreciation to the people who been teaching him Diyari since 1974: †Eileen Hannis, †Frieda Merrick, †Ben (‘Benno’) Murray, †Selma Thompson, †Leslie Russell, Michelle Warren, Reg Warren, Rene Warren, and †Rosa Warren. For comments and feedback on draft materials on this website we are grateful to Taryn Debney, Edward Garrett, Philip Jones, David Nathan, Jan Scott, and Clara Stockigt.

Work on this blog was carried out under a Leverhulme Emeritus Fellowship awarded to Peter Austin for 2020-2023. This provided funds for research assistance (by Edward Garrett, and David Nathan), and travel and accommodation to visit the Diyari community in 2022 and 2023. We are very grateful for this financial support.
